Sun Moon Lake is one of Taiwan's most renowned tourist attractions, welcoming millions of visitors annually from both domestic and international origins.
Over 100 vessels operate daily on the lake, providing seamless transportation services and showcasing its multifunctional role.
Beyond tourism, the lake serves critical purposes such as flood control, water supply, and supporting local livelihoods.
The Drive for Eco-Friendly Transformation
To address the environmental impact of emissions from daily vessel operations, the administration launched a program to phase out outdated vessels and transition to fully electric power systems, ensuring the preservation of water quality and lake ecology.
